    Question Yale Junior mortise lock

I have a Yale junior mortise lock and one spring that I don't know where it goes.
I looks like an old mangled cotter key out of an axle nut.
I I posted a pic (I think) and the spring in question is the one in my fingers.
Any exploded views would be great.

See thumbnail attached, Yale Type C Builder's Lock Construction; from Yale & Towne Catalog No. 26 (c)1929, pg. 237.
