Default Question Re ETAS number 5 WC "Penny" lock

    Dear all

I hope someone can help me. I've purchased an Etas number 5 lock as a present, but the "vacant/engaged" sign doesn't flip to "engaged" automatically. I can see the mechanism inside and I can move it freely to either position. I think it's missing a spring or linkage.

Can some kind sole let tell me what & where please?

    Thanks in advance.

    Cool door bolt?

    hi,
you will need the door bolt for the other side of the toilet door, which has a rod that goes through the door into the back of the lock and when the bolt is thrown the engaged sign shows.

i had the same problem and sourced one on EBAY

    cheers brian.

Thanks Brian. Was it a specific bolt for this type of application?

    Default bolt

it is quite simply a rod connected to the slide bolt, if i can dig mine out, i'll put a picture on by the end of the week.

just to be sure, is there a slot in the back of the lock?, if so, put a pencil in and slide along to see if that is the problem.

give me a couple of days for the pic, many thanks brian.

Great, thanks. I'll keep my eye out for something similar.
