    Default Sicker safe company

    Hi all. Does anyone know anything about the Sicker Safe Company before it was taken over by Whitfield and Co ?

    Thanks Safeman. The Elwell connection helped. It turns out that J.F. Elwell and possibly J.Groves took out a patent together. In about 1872 patent #2408 for the sicker safe. Unfortunately I cannot find out what the patent was for.

    Thanks Safeman. I have the smaller class D plaque shown on the bottom of this safe and have never been able to accredit it to anyone. I’ve always thought it was off one of the European safe makers so that picture is very useful.
