Yes pretty sure link plate is right and not strike plate or staple for a box lock.

I'm probably wrong calling the bolt projections hooks thinking about it, the bolt slides or jumps on a box lock and doesn't pivot in an arc so not a true hook as on a hook bolt lock, which does.

Your lock looks similar to a Barron's in that the gatings and stumps (there's another one for you) are reversed between the levers and bolt.
BTW, the angle along the top edge is the Salvage, and any wards with a 90 degree bend are Hook Wards, anyway that's it I'm off now as it's Saturday and it's well past beer o'clock
