Just for reference; A Victor I have has the same patent date on the dial with the serial number 13474 and on the inside door cover the newest patent is June 1889 so it was built after that. I have no idea why mine has a 5 digit number or why yours has 6. I wonder how many they built in a year? I also have no clue how Victor issued the numbers. With Mosler, the serial numbers were issued in order across all styles of safes and were documented in a ledger from 1886 to 1992. It is very easy to date a Mosler.
