Default THIS ANTIQUE LOCK REQUIRES 3-KEYS, Please tell me more...

Can anyone please assist me with information regarding this old chest lock which requires three keys to operate?

The chest has long ago rotted away but the lock, keys, and the catch-piece for trunk's lid are all present and working.

This is just the front of the lock with the 3 keys in position. The photo shows the lock upside down from the way it would be mounted in a chest as the fastener to the lid is attached to the lock and the lock is sitting on it.

I have other photos I can email you = rear of the mechanism and also the detail of the key-ways.

It's a beauty, lightly rusted, but intricate tooling is still noticeable on interior parts that would strangely be hidden to the eye while the lock was mounted in place.

Thanks for looking. Please tell me where I can learn more about its origin.[/img]
