    Default Lips safe?

I bought this safe last week. It's a Lips safe from the Netherlands. The color and the handle however look like Chatwood.

The safe has a Kromer letter combination lock and a Kromer keylock.

If people want I can give more information about the Kromer locks.

Does somebody knows if this is a Lips safe or a Chatwood safe or ...?

Chatwood body definately. Does it have a serial number on its top hinge? There is a strong chance of confirming its age.

Judging on its style, you have a target of C1885-1924

This Chatwood safe looks like a List 2 circa 1870. To verify check the information stamped into the top edge of the door reading from the hinge - number -quality - size - weight. If so, it has a 1/4" machine dovetailed body and 1/2" door with 1/4" angle lockcase.
