    Default Mosler floor safe

While cleaning out an old storage unit I found an old Mosler floor safe, there was some writing on the inside of the door, the date was 18XX [bad memory]. There is a coating of surface rust on the outside of the safe and the writing on the door is faded and can barley be read.

Is this worth any more than its weight in scrap?
I don't have pictures at the moment but will try to get some tomorrow.

Probably not of value, the lock might be depending in age, condition and decorative / technical interest. Will look again when you have posted the pictures.

Is this safe solid steel or concrete filled steel?

Lined, maybe concrete, maybe fire resisting material - the fire resisting properties of which will have decreased over time.

Very low value, no collectors value.
