Josiah Parkes Antique Locks Book For Sale
Since retiring from the locking industry (40yrs) i have in my posession two books that are of no further use to me.
The first is a brown hardback book entitles Antique Locks, commissioned by Josiah Parkes & Sons in 1955. Fully illustrated this book covers many locks from the armarda chest to box locks and 17th century german door locks. It is in excellent condition and has given me many years of fond memories.
The second is also commissioned by UNION / Josiah Parkes & Sons lts entitles Antique lock collection. It is hardback but also has a padded front and back cover still in excellent condition. This is not illustrated but has over 120 pages of what appears to be a catalogue listing of many many locks classed as exhibits and their descriptions.
I would rather these books be sold into the hands of people who will appreciate them rather than purely for frofit making entrepreneurs.
Therefore i would like offers on either books, seperately or as a package.
I can send photographs of these to interested parties if requested.
Many Thanks
