Is this the future?
Just arrived from Spain, the Ultimate Security Handcuff. Made in a high grade plastic and available in either Chain Link of Folding Pattern. They take a standard handcuff key and the double lock is activated by pressing the orange button.
So interesting design however they cost £130 each! This compares with about £25 to £35 for most swinging bow handcuffs made by TCH, Peerless or ASP.

platic cuffs
Presumably light weight, but more difficult to recycle than metal. Not good for the future.

Never seen a mappins patent with only 4 guards. Odd. It's chicken and egg, I find that the key will not want to go in until it's already cut as the sharp edge on the blank does not move easily...
