    Default Hobbs padlock...

I picked up two ex New South Wales (pre Federation) padlocks a little while ago. One seems to be a Hobbs (on the right). The padlock on the left is an Australian duplication, as the key that I have operates both.

Pretty interesting old Hobbs railway padlock.
I had one that was damaged so dismantled and repaired it.
See the shackle is positively locked at the end and blocked at the pivoting end.
    Key retaining.

Better late than never with these pics.

    cheers
