    Default Civil War Era padlock?

I just acquired this lock on Saturday. Can anyone tell me about it?

This only a guess as far the way i see it that it may be a fake padlock. Reason look like someone cut the brass and stamp it put it in. I never have seen the padlock with word Confederate Firearm. So just maybe it real be someone may comeup with answer for it....Tim....

Likely a contemporary "reproduction" made in India. One giveaway is that the Confederate Firearm Factory letters are sans-serif and vintage stampings would have probaby used serif footed characters, see image attached.
