Wow, that was quick! Nothing fancy about me, so that suits me fine. I love the original painting and, for me, this is what is so appealing about these early safes. I have no idea as to valuation, so I just bought it because I could see a use for it and I liked it.

In any event, it was from an on-site auction, Hamilton, New Jersey. My bid was $400, with a 15% buyer's premium, so it cost me $460. I paid $350 to ship to my residence, by safe movers. I thus have $810 into it. Hopefully that's not too awful!

This safe is so much more appealing now that it actually works and is not just a huge metal box that serves no function.
