    Pass on any knowledge of this unit if you would...appears generic enough but probably a newbee in it's era.
    Minimal case hardware appears early 1900's ish>

    Looks Like Corbin Cabinet Lock No. 1642 suit case lock. Found on pg. 112 of Corbin Cabinet Lock Co. Catalog 38, dated 1928; see thumbnail attached.
