    Default Damon door in Ohio

Sometimes I find a door that's not only attractive, but uncommon. George L. Damon developed an unusual boltwork described in US patent 952,981 (1908/1910). This door is in Youngstown, Ohio and seems to be in fairly good condition except for some serious rusting where people have handled it directly rather than using the handle. The building housed banks until 2012 which might explain its good condition.

And thanks for the vault door pic. I am originally from the Youngstown area and will see about getting in there next time I visit.
