    Any Ideas what this HUGE Yale lock was for?

    Prison lock maybe?

    It is a prison lock, probably a food door pass through. The keyway on your lock is A1L and it would have been supplied on a number 90 blank. The A1L was discontinued in prison locks and my info says it was only used in locks prior to 1893. HTH,

    Saw that while ago glad you got it. Look like BBE can be right but they was saying it was Mail Box Safe Lock. But who know can be for anything but BBE should know....Timothy.....
