    Default Locked Cannonball

How hard will it be to get this open?

It’s for sale locally but I don’t want to touch it if I won’t be able to open it without significant damage.

Yes - I realize it is a safe.

The answer is, it depends. If the bankers dustproof timelocks are in there and unlocked you're golden. If they are frozen up in there in the locked position you are hosed. If the screw taper threads got water in there you may be fighting square feet of rusted surface area trying to get that door unscrewed. The lock on the outside of that safe is the absolute least of your worries for getting in that safe. If they tell you its always been stored inside and used to open it all the time but have forgotten the combo, its probably worth taking a shot on it. Have Fun.
