Default Help with Tann safe identification

Can anyone help me with identifying this safe. I think it is a Tann Krona. I have an opportunity to buy it for $2200.00. Does the info on the tag refer to the year of manufacture. Can anyone tell me what the resistance grade would be. And to any U.S.A. members what the UL equivalent would be. Also anything in particular i should be careful of. Thanks in advance for any help.

If there is just a label for fire resistance, then it is probably just a fire safe without burglary resistance.

This is where i am getting confused, i thought the V3 was a level of security resistance. So now i have no idea what type of safe this is. I was told it weighs 2900 lbs. If this helps, the size is approx 60hx30wx34d

Jaden, you are correct in that the V3 label is for burglary resistance and to which this label refers plus the Fire Resistance Qualification. This is a poor copy of part of the SIS 83 75 01 dated 1965 now superceded by the European Standards.

It is very difficult to compare UL with European Standards as the tests are different in many respects, but I would suggest that the Krona would fall into the TRTL 30x6 category.

From memory this safe would have been made in Tann's Swedish facory in Gävle.

Safeman, thank you for all your help. Do you know if the Kromer KC, or equivalent is still available. Does anyone manufacture an electronic replacement for the Kromer. If you had to replace this lock what would your preferences be.
