Itinery: 10:00am -12:30 Archive-Artefact access and research/Networking wiith other members. 12:30 - 1:30: Lunch Break (bring your own sandwiches (tea, coffee & biscuits provided) 1:30 - 4:00Researching Chubb – from that moment the first lock, patented in 1818 by Jerimiah Chubb, the company as well as the people involved is full of twists and turns, adventure and intrigue, emotion and passion and all set against a backdrop of world events… We start to put together the definitive story starting our first Group project. There is allways time after a meeting for further socialising & networking.
This is my example. Dated 10/72. Lock 666. Originally removed from a most unusual safe with 2 doors in a bank in Altrincham. 6 lever. Anti pressure. Original detachable bit key.
Another known lock, dated 2/65. S/N 630. 6 lever with anti pressure.

Here is a lock I used to own. I think it was number 608, dated 1863. 6 lever example with anti pressure. Last known in a UK private collection. Current location unknown.
Thanks for posting those details. I note there is a date stamped on the lockcase. I have emailed the museum to see if someone could look at it and see exactly what date that is. I was there but...
