    Default Chubb TDRs

The 1980s or around then saw the range of heavy Chubb TDRs. They were finished in 2 tone coffee and cream colours, had satin finish door furniture, and the isolator boltwork with a 3 spoke wheel.

The heaviest was the Bankers Treasury. I think the lightest was the Trident. What models were in the range? I don't remember.

Other way round, the Trident was next down from the Bankers Treasury. There was also a Standard TDR, Vanguard and Bankers. Some were also improved as 2nd strength versions.

The Chubb tdr's were not isolator models and came in three strengths, a (1st strength) b (2nd strength) and c (or bankers) variations. The isolator models did contain tdr type barrier however. Renown, Resolute, Bankers Treasury?, Vanguard, Trident, Treasury, Sovereign, Financer were the ones in the original Isolator range, I may have missed some models though.

I think from the description you are thinking of the later range of isolators that used the cheaper concrete based debar barrier material. bankers 2, treasury 2, I will try to look up what the others were if no one else can remember them

A member of my family has been offered this little beauty for 45 quid! I was trying to identify it, hence the question.

Visually they all look pretty much the same, so I'd think it'll be down to the prefix letter of the bolt number to ID it.

Since Mary left, I don't think there is anyone at Chubb /Gunnebo who would trace one of the older numbers. If it had glass plates fitted and how thick the main door slab was 40 or 75mm would narrow it down a little, but not be definitive.

Does anybody remember when they started fitting deflector plates?
