If the 'Fortress' was 3G135, what and when was the 3G71? all I know is pre-1962.

    Hi Gary,
I saw your question on Google and have joined so I can answer it for you. The Chubb 3R36 was a short lived roller bolt version of the 3R35 along with a split follower and panic bar operated variant. I hope this helps you ,Cheers, Chris Taylor

    Welcome here Chris.
I can add that the 3R36 was in Chubb's 1971 catalogue, but not 1978. I don't know when it appeared.
Incidentally, even in 1978 the detainers on these two have no lip at the bottom to prevent overlifting above the probe, but there is a moulded plastic piece above.
However the 1978 detainers in both 3G135 Fortress (see Huw's phots), and 3G110 Castle do have lips. 3G135 is not in the 1971 catalogue.
