    Default Help to determine type of lock please

    Hello all
    I Dive and Metal detect around the Boston MA area and islands.
    I recently found a lock and would like to know information about it

    what type of bag was it for ?
    what would have been in this bag / chest ?
    what year , type , era and all historical information about it

    Hello Izmiz, it looks like a steamer trunk lock to me- missing the hingeplate that it pivots on. If you do a Google search you'll see countless possibilities to compare it with.
