    Both the lock and the key look to be the typical Indian repros from Aligarh.

    It looks like someone has had that lock apart to fit the key. I'm not so sure either is Indian origin. The Indian keys typically look like the bit could be used like a comb and this one isn't even close to that. Plus isn't it unusual for the bolt throw to be in the center of the bit? Wish we had one more picture that showed the keyhole.

    Thanks again for your time and response.
    Adding pictures was the least I could do, but I have been strugling to get more one.
    Yet I have quiet some experience posting on fora ....
    I will try in a minute to add pictures here, but if I fail again, you could check here;
    http://placedelours.superforum.fr/t2...-made-in-india
    A French forum I am on as well.

    I also want to add I got a response from somebody called,Scott Caley telling me;
    Hi Kris, It is a very common type of lock, made recently in India. You can tell by the thin metal, striation marks on all face surfaces, and general low quality workmanship. Thank you for contacting me.
    Regarding this lock....

    And I am getting a "HTTP ERROR 500"when trying to upload pictures at the momment....
    I can do this, but feel free to erase if not appropriated.

    That isn't a key hole shape I've seen on India locks and they don't usually have end/case wards either. I don't think it was made in India.
