    Default Key ID please

    I've just acquired these keys one a walkers safe key and the other was advertised as a safe key but I've never seen anything like it before. Can anyone Enlighten me please and thanks

    That logo was used by Russell, Erwin & Co. from about 1850-1909. Later known as Russwin and currently Corbin Russwin, they are now an ASSA ABLOY Group company located in New Britain, CT, USA.

    Hi Warren, your RE & Co key looks to be a rim lock key going by the length, the symmetrical cuts on the bit and the presence of the collar suggesting it operates from both sides of a lock.
    The pin Gauge looks pretty slim though, so its unlikely anything heavy duty. Looking at the cuts on the bit it does look more secure than the basic warded lever stuff thats more commonly seen.
