    Did you Gents see the unusual small brass plate recently sold on eBay marked both Milners Holdfast and Hobb's Protectors, looked like a really unusual one.

    Not only did I not see it, I can't even find it under "completed listings"

    I was gonna have a bid Huw but it's a wee bit pricey for a part of an escutcheon. I nearly bought one complete a couple of year back, I could kick myself now! Duh ..my brain hurts

    Forgot to say escutcheon plate sorry Warren I just watched it out of curiosity as I havent seen one with all that text before, it got me wondering what pattern keyway it was for- an open 'v' Milner or a Hobb's.

    You've got some great new plates there

    You've got some great new plates there
    I have just acquired one of these Milner with Hobbs protectors so I can answer your wondering Huw. They're like busse as they say! It was a bit warped so I've straightened it a bit and it won't slide freely so I'll have to sort it but here you go.
