Default Vintage Chubb 6-Lever Deed Box Lock and a 1990s Spanish Mini Safe

Found this one hiding in with that unusual dual control lock I posted recently.
The precision in these is quite surprising for a lower level mass produced lock, the tolerances are pretty tight with 6 nicely fitting levers including monitor and a beautifully smooth action to lock and unlock.

Also hiding was this WonderBox mini safe made by a Spanish company back in the 90s, in fact I think they might still be making similar. These also have a hidden surprise in that the whole door, lock plug and the body are completely case hardened.

It's years since I've taken the cap off this one Gary I'll have a look when I get a chance, from memory it was pretty basic with only a monitor lever and no detector but I'll have to check to be sure.

It may be that only the mk2 version had the detector, or could be a totally different lock.

Cheers Gary, if you hadn't mentioned the detector I wouldn't have thought any more about it or bothered to look at it again.
It turns out it's not what I had pictured in my my mind at all.

nice little lock, slight differences to mine so yours could possibly be a mark 1.
