    A 'B' footprint lock, but with a bolt blocker.

    Not only does this lock have a bolt blocker, unusual in a 'B' lock, note also there is no bolt thrower, the key engages directly with the bolt tail.

    Brian, were they made with that spec as standard production then, or is it possibly a prototype or pre-production sample? Any Milners powder proof lock just seems weird without that chunky brass bolt thrower!

    I don't think its a prototype, but I don't think it was a long production run either. It might have been a special. As far as I can work out it dates from around the 1870's. Hoping someone might know...
