    Default Large brass padlock

    Hello everybody!
I recently obtained this lock and I would appreciate any information that you may be able to provide.
4 5/8" tall. Brass body, steel shackle. With the original key.
    Thank you very much,
    Saijinte

It's not a Cotterill. The lever padlock design is older, but I have no idea how old yours is. The markings are similar to the ones you see on replicas, but yours looks too high of quality to be a replica.

No it's a very nice mint example of a cotterill wilsons patent (where is it ?)

Your first lock is not a replica either, the quality is way to good plus I've seen those made by Cotterill too with standard lever mechanisms.

Saijinte, that's really weird, the first line of your reply is quoted from a totally different thread! wvshutterbug's from his "Help identifying a padlock..." Last post.

    Beautiful padlocks btw.
