    looks like carbinet lock co on shackle ? i do not know the letters ,any help on i.d. is welcome ?Click image for larger version.

    Well, if you could take a well focused picture, it would be easy to read the letters on the shackle. The pictures you posted are quite blurry and I can't read them.
    How about a picture taken on a cloudy day? if sunny day take the picture in the shade. There's nothing better than daylight.

    Maybe Corbin Cabinet Lock Co.? They were a prolific manufacturer of padlocks back in the day but I don't see an EMFKIE wrought padlock in their 1928 Catalog No. 38.

    the pic's might be blurry, but markings are blurry even under magnifier.

    There are some long-ago references in Google to Empkie Hardware Co., Empkie-Shugart Hardware Co. and Empkie-Shugart-Hill Co. of Council Bluffs, IA. Perhaps CCL private-labeled your padlock for those folks who might have been an old time hardware distributor?

    found the hardware co in council bluffs,iowa late 1870 etc but nothing on the padlocks.
