safe lock info please

Hello , I was given this old safe lock which was removed from a safe by a friend. He just said it was an old safe going for disposal and didn't give any further info. Does anyone have any more info and any ideas which safes this lock would have been fitted too? Thanks mark.

The Bolt has 16839 patent and the words centre action stamped on it.

It does Look familiar, I'll have a look through my drawings when I next dig them out.
There were quite a few like that 'generic' looking though, so short of looking through about 3 or 4000 drawings a particular name doesn't really stand out. Hopefully someone might recognise it outright and give an id
