E.T. Fraim lock
Hello, my pap found an old padlock inside his great grandfather's cigar box. Inscribed on the front is "FRAIM" and on the part that closes is inscribed "E.T. FRAIM LOCK CO. Lancaster. PA. U.S.A." Which is 2 or 3 hours away from where we live. On the back on the part that closes is inscribed, "PAT. DEC.15-1908". Also, he has a key that has nothing inscribed into it. It's just a bit rusted, though my pap says that it will open the lock with some difficulty. The lock however, is completely brass and I believe that the locking part is spring loaded because everytime you push it down, it'll shoot back up with no problem. Does anyone know what this could be?
I hate to say this, but I can't get any pictures of it. I have no digital camera with me, sorry. I'll attempt to get some kind of picture up.
Thanks for any help you can offer.
