    Default what excatly do I have?

    Could someone tell me what to call this lock? Maybe where it was used, The key needs to be screwed into the lock, then pull to open, It has no markings, thanks

    Looks like the screw-in keys used on some old handcuffs and shackles?

    Screw-key padlock.

    This one is good in that :

    It's old
    It was not made in India IMHO

    Appears to be good quality.

    I'd have to say it's between "uncommon" and "mildly rare." If I collected these I might be willing to pay $30 to $40. Being a low-security lock it would have been appropriate for things like a foot locker.

    Made by Russell and Erwin company and could date late 1800's. I like it, please message me if you are thinking of letting it go.
