Cool Wanted - an old combination lock

    Hi lockers,
I am interested in obtaining a combination lock. Ideally it will be old and stylish. Also ideally it will be possible to practice my developing manipulation skills on without getting too frustrated.
Are there any shops in Melbourne (or alternatively online) that deal with such things?

If you want to learn manipulation, I strongly recommend that you start with a Sargent & Greenleaf 6700 series lock. Unfortunately, any example that you're likely to come across is unlikely to be what you would consider to be old or stylish.

The "old and stylish" locks are almost certainly going to be a very poor choice for learning manipulation.

Whilst you can buy a new S&G 6700 series lock in Australia, it will be much cheaper to buy one online from ebay, even taking postage into account.

If you wish to avoid eBay for some reason, I may be able to sell you a lock (I'm in Melbourne).

Thanks Mark. It looks like that is a reasonable place to start.

    Why is that?
