    Default milners which model ?

Hi guys just acquired a miners safe as a restoration project, but the front brass plate/plaque is missing.
I need to Know the safe model to replace the correct Brass plaque!
the serial number above the door is R1262 (is this 1906 the year of manufacture)?
The diameter of the missing plaque was 6&7/8ths inches with two Screw fixing points at 5&7/8ths inches centers.
Size of safe is H 25 inches W 19 inches D 20&1/2 inches (includes door hinge)
original colour maroon ? would this be right?
    Any help would be appreciated.
    Many thanks I anticipation ashes

    Default Milner List 2.

Your dating is correct as being 1906. It is List 2 Fire-Resisting safe, a model which was of square bodied construction up until around the turn of the century when they began bending the outer plate in one piece. You will usually find an appropriate name plate on Ebay like one today but which is 8" wide. Example :

Many thanks safeman, I thought it might have been a Milners special safe, due to the size of the non-existent brass door plaque.
Also the door transfer (inside safe) say's Milners safe co Liverpool & London no mention of Manchester! Was 1906 pre Manchester site being up and running?
    Kindest regards ashes.
