Thanks for sharing wylk. I have two different versions in my collection - one like yours with a more "chunky" casting and a hole drilled through the hex socket and another "smother" casting without a hole. The latter also has a much shorter hex socket.

Sadly, neither have a makers mark on them. If anyone has information on RACO vs. SACO vs. ?? please share.

    Check out this thread: http://www.antique-locks.com/showthr...ad-screw-locks

As far as I can tell, SACO became RACO which later became SAFETRAN.

Searching is not easy - here is a little more information on WRRS - which is Western Railroad Supply - they made many hardware type things in addition to these screw lock wrenches especially signal crossing bells and hardware. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wigwag_(railroad)

There is actually another forum with some interesting comments about WRRS: http://www.rxrsignals.com/Phpbb3/vie...php?f=42&t=390 someone shows an automobile parking garage gate supposedly made by WRRS.

Also, re: the double-ended wrenches, we come across them from time to time and have never seen one with a maker mark. All have been brass.
