    Default Odd keys

    Got these keys in auction lot. Don't know what they are, Any information is appreciated. Lots more weird keys too.

    1st pic, on left, flat steel keys that have been cut-away to form tension tools for lock picking. Same pic, on the right, the longer keys look to be ordinary un-cut flat steel key blanks.
    2nd pic, mostly commercially made rake picks for pin tumbler and wafer locks, looks like 3 of them are homemade.

    Dont get caught with them in your back pocket on the way home from the pub...;-)

    The left group appear to be mostly hand made picks for various warded locks. The flat steel blanks on the right are likely for 19th century mortise door locks.

    In the first image, on left are a couple of safe deposit blanks and the rest appear to be picks made from working keys. On the right all are blanks for old warded or lever rim locks.

    Second image, all of the keys are for National cash registers, don't know if the rod looking piece has a bend on the flattened end but if so it is a home made tension wrench and the other two pieces are home made picks, probably for the same cash registers.
