    Hello all,

    Any help with information on this key would be appreciated!

    Hi Brey,
    It looks like a padlock key. Looking at the flag, is there residue left over from the casting process? The warding should be clean on the flag.

    Hey Mickthepick,

    Under a flashlight it looks smooth with a little dust to me and that angle didn't do it justice but I'll add a better picture.
    I also meant to include the length of the key which is 5.75 inches long.

    It's a key for a 'Carron' type cast iron strongbox of the more common type. Probably 1750 - 1800 or thereabouts.
