    Default America tweezers

    This is a new expression on me. From 19th century slang:

    American Tweezers, an instrument used by an hotel-sneak which nips the wards end of a key, and enables him to open a door from the opposite side to that on which it has been locked.

    While I understand what the description is talking about I don't remember seeing such a tool. Where did you find this referenced?
