    Default Help with the date of this Yale & Towne Lock please!

    Hello,

    I am requesting help finding the date of this Yale & Towne lock I found metal detecting. I have found pictures of this lock on eBay and other online sources, but no dates showing. If anyone could help with this, I would greatly appreciate it!

    Yale 770 Series, made in 1", 1-1/4", 1-1/2", 1-3/4" & 2 inch sizes. Likely 1940s-1970s vintage as Yale & Towne morphed into the Lock & Hardware Division of The Eaton Corp. in 1972.
