Default Key found in grandfather's belongings

I have been sorting through some of my grandfather's belongings since he has passed away. Inside his passport wallet with important documents to him, I found a key tucked inside a small pocket. I would love to know why he kept it and why it seemed important to him. So looking for any ideas as to what it would open. It is inscribed with #241. The Corbin logo is on the other.

It is a key for a lever lock, and considering where your grandfather kept it, it could well be the key to a safe deposit box.

Key is used on B2401 Lock for Safety Deposit Box.

You gotta find out if he had an account in banks around town.
