Default Very early (potentially Viking or Roman) padlock

I have a very early padlock and key. I've been doing some research and it appears to be of Viking or Roman origin. I would appreciate any input or feedback about this lock. It's fully functional and approximately 29cm in length. Very intricate handmade markings and a beautiful piece still in perfect condition. Any feedback would be appreciated.

Fairly typical Barb spring padlock. Probably from Iran / Afghanistan / Iraq / India etc. Could be made anywhere from 200 years ago or made last week, impossible to tell as they are still being made using the same designs, methods and equipment now as then.
