Default Early to Mid 1920s Padlock?

Hello, new here. I have a 1925 antique automobile I'm restoring (Dodge Brothers) which has a spare tire/wheel rack that has a provision for a padlock on one of the wheel mount lugs. The hole is roughly 5/16 to 3/8 diameter. I'm trying to find a padlock (with key) that would be contemporary or somewhat older for it. I've searched around the site and can't seem to pin anything down to specific makes/model numbers I might look for. Any suggestions for typical household locks that might fit the bill?

You might want to get a copy of Collectors Guide Antique Classic Marque Car Keys by the late Don Stewart, sold by Amazon.com:

Lots of good info, see pg. 36 for images of Corbin Cabinet Lock Co. 1920s "automobile padlocks".
Also see pdf from Corbin Cabinet Lock 1928 catalog attached.
