    Default New Guy from Indiana

    Greetings-
    I have joined your forum to learn more about "An old safe that I bought"
    Hopefully I will not be a "bother" to the others as I ask, and read to learn more.
    so far, I now have 2 safes, does that qualify me as a "Collector"?

    I that big Mosler safe has a serial number stamped on one of its handles, that can help date when it was made.

    244102 is the number stamped on the handle.
    it's a monster!

    That should mean it was made in late 1912.
