Default Need help identifying very old keys!

These came from a small area in India. I have had them for ever. I was going to give one to a friend that just started collecting. So I started to clean one up and saw the gold on them... Can anyone tell me what these are??

It actually is gold. Had it tested. Pretty odd, one has a fossil on it also.

I suggest you take it back and get it tested again as it's clearly a brass or brazing alloy like Gerry said, and your keys are as he said in his post. As for one of them having a fossil on it, the members on this board were all born on different days, but I can assure you it wasn't yesterday.
