    Default Finally...

    Hey Huw

Today I got the design of the pressure gear finished. Dont worry, the hex-head screws are just for demostration purposes. Later those will be replaced by brass pieces

A little below the center of the picture you see a little screw, which holds the handwheel in place. The hole above is to lock/lose the wormgear from the handwheel.

    Here are some impressions:

Default left anchor point finished and its functional :)

Hey guys. I finally mounted the finished left anchor point and I already tested it. And I am happy with the results Now I have to move on to the right anchor point that has to be mounted to the remote viewer - a much more difficult task than the left one...

Brilliant, you're getting close now Maik. Looks superb, I can see now how much you've polished the hinge carriages, it looks great with that bit of contrast between the different surfaces. It's another BIG thumbs up from me

    Hey guys,

Huw, thanks for your thumbs up :)
I managed to mount the big studs for the locking parts, four of them M16 and two are M24 threads. I started to make the holes in those parts (see some postings above) and I noticed that because those are thermal cut the surfaces are hardened and so my drill has some problems to get through it. But that is stuff for tomorrow.

    Hey guys,

so finally I managed to get the big inner parts of the remote viewer, where the locks will sit later, drilled and test mounted onto the frame. This worked just fine and I am glad about it. There is still one piece missing and after that I can continue drilling holes for the three spindles for lock- and boltwork.

    Default Progress update :)

    Hey guys

Yeah I am still around, just quite busy with my maths and physics studies... But I thought it would be nice to give you a little heads up about my vault door :)

Here you can find the latest video update

I am getting close now to work on the more delicate mechanical parts of the remote viewer and the locking mechanism

    Cheers from Germany

Not much happening here Maik, all my workspace and machines are blocked for storage, everything from BMX's to rolls of carpet and outboard motors- can't get past the door. You'll have to do extra time on yours and keep us all updated :)
