    Default Hatton Gardens

    Any thoughts?

Anybody want to own up now? You might get a reduced sentence.

I was in Chengdu and have witnesses to support my alibi.

A 1950's door (of unknown quality) can hardly be blamed for yielding when under attack over possibly 3 days. That's if they went through the door. Information is a little thin on the ground as yet.

Over the long Easter weekend, burglars broke into Hatton Gardens Safe Deposit Ltd. and ran off with a large amount of loot.

    Some articles:

    http://www.theguardian.com/uk-news/2...tolen-property and http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/arti...sit-boxes.html and http://www.bbc.com/news/uk-england-london-32207974

I'm not sure the press really have all the details. Aside from questioning whether they went through the door or wall, what happened to the alarm system?

Have a look at the Pathe website - Film of the Day.

1949 - though the wall is a good bet, especially if the alarms were defeated or ignored. Seems they stole the CCTV NVR too.

The Pathe film (a newsreel describing the opening of the safe deposit company) is at http://www.britishpathe.com/video/ha...-jewel-bandits

Already the press is getting things screwed up. The Pathe site claims 300 boxes were opened, but according to http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/arti...sit-boxes.html and others, 70 boxes were hit. The number 300 comes from a sidebar story about the Baker Street heist in 1971.

Is that a Chubb door on the Pathe footage?

    Certainly is Chubb.

Looks like a MKII Treasury door on Crane Hinge.
