    That is what I was planning to do ...and double check to make sure the wheel is locked ..thanks

    Thanks for all the help ...got the wheels all lined up and the change key fits in nicely. Reset the combo and removed the key . As a precaution I removed the wheels to make sure each was locked nice and tight .Will try the combo another dozen times to be sure .

    Just wanted to say thanks for all the help I received on this site .Was able to get the old diebold up and running with a new combo and a good cleaning ,special thanks to wylk for your time and many responses
