Old RFD padlock
I bought this very interesting RFD padlock at a locale antique store for $6.00 hoping that I bought it for a good price. Im looking for some more information about this padlock, and what it would have been used for and about what time the manufacturing year was. So far I think the RFD stands for Rural Free Delivery.
The padlock is made out of brass, has a steel shackle, the words made in the USA on the back, and in big letters on the front its says RFD.

The original locks were probably from something like Tann or Ratner bookroom doors
