Default can anyone tell me about this key?

Hi my name is Ryan I have had this key for about 2 years now...it was given to me by an older woman whom I helped move. She had no info on it and I cant find any myself. The key measures almost 10" long and 3 1/2" at the widest part. It has the number "21" at the base. Thank you!

It's easy enough and the clue is right there in the head.

It's not a real key (ie there was never a lock for it), it's a commemorative item that would be presented to someone on their 21st birthday.

Or maybe it's a commemorative key to the "21 Club" . It's a prohibition-era speakeasy located in Manhattan New York.

    Just as Oldlock says:
    https://www.google.co.uk/#q=21+key+to+the+door

It's a bit like getting the keys to a city - completely metaphorical!
