    Default 17th/18th Century French Key

I have recently acquired this French Key, I believe it may be a Safe or Chest key, due to it`s unique shape and complex bit and triangular shaft, does any one know this style of key? it has a loose design with the wings on the inner bow. It is made of Steel? and is 147mm long.

Many thanks for your input Gerry, I wish Keys could talk, all their history lost when divorced from the lock, an interesting thought from a fabulous hobby.

    Best wishes, Kevin.
